I have a 1994 Cadillac Sedan DeVille with the 4.9 in it. As of the last week or so (the weather has gotten colder, if it matters), when I initially start my Caddy up and proceed to drive, within a minute or so, it starts to studder, almost like its missing. All I have to do to stop the studdering is pull over, turn off the ignition, and immediatly restart the car, and the problem goes away for the remainder of my trip. Any insight as to what this may be? Im baffled as it goes away after immediatly restarting the car. Also, when I first got the car it had the same problem, I replaced the Cat convertor, and the fuel filter and the problem went away completely. What could be causing the reoccurance? Thanks for any help.|||hey there you might want to replace your o2 sensor it maybe why your plugging up your catalytic converter and replave your fuel filter thats normal for pluging up because there is some dirty gas any more and maybe its due for a tune -up new spark plugs and wires and distribitor cap and rotor and also get some feul injector cleaner and put it in a full tank of gas and if if it still has that same problem take it in for a scope reading hope this helps you out a little|||just be happy that you have a cadillac

It's an old piece of crap. I mean, if it doesn't start up, it's obviously broken down. You should put it back where you found it... in the junk yard.

trash in your tank.Or a sort in you fuel pump.
