How do I open my 57 cadillac's trunk, with the trunk lock missing? Is there a trunk release on the inside?

I can't open the trunk of my 57 cadillac. It's missing the lock, but I still can't pop the trunk. Is there a trunk release inside the car, or does anyone have a suggestion?|||Ronnie got it right....use a straight screwdriver and insert it into the opening until it matches up with the lock mechanism inside. You should be able to unlock the trunk with just a quarter turn of the screwdriver.|||as i remember... open the case which is located inside the (i dunno what u call it) case which is located just infront of the front passengers side seat. The release is probably there...|||If it is like other older GM cars, insert a flat blade screwdriver into the hole, and fit it into the slot in the lock mechanism, and turn.|||might be able open it from under rear bumper? look inside lock place se if two cable visible? sometimes a extention on 3/8 drive(rachet) you may be able to turn with then/
