I have a 1998 Cadillac Deville that they tell me the heads are cracked. I want to know if those same heads can be repaired somehow or do I have to replace them with new/used heads. I cannot afford to replace the heads yet.|||Has the motor been disassembled yet, or did they tell you that the heads were cracked just looking at the vehicle? You are not clear on that point. If they have the heads off and have found cracks in them, you need to replace them. If the mechanic has not taken the heads off yet, and is telling you they are cracked, be very careful. There is no way to inspect a head for cracks without removing it. It could be the head gasket, and not the head, needs replacement.|||Yep, better to replace..... Did you take care of it?|||yes, everyone is telling you the truth, a cracked head has to be replaced. A good repairman would never try to repair it. Find a good junkyard and take someone with you.
