How do you clear the service engine light in a cadillac?

Cadillac De Ville 2004...I fixed the problem but I need to manually clear the light.|||it has to be done with a scanner,auto zone or advance either one can and will do this for you,its free to ,good luck with it.|||Ask a mechanic to reset it for you when you do your maintenance visit.|||Autozone, if there is one near, will do it for free.|||You should be able to go to any major auto supply store (Auot Zone, Advanced Auto) and they can hook the computer to the car and clear the code. However, look into the reason the code is coming up...could come back after they clear it. And most places do not charge a fee, they are glad to have your patronage!|||you need to rest the computer|||This vehicle is equiped with obd-2 (onboard diagnostics2) the service engine light will have to be reset with a scan tool. this will probably come on again unless the problem that caused the light to come on is fixed|||DISCONNECT THE POSITIVE SIDE OF THE BATTERY FOR 5 MINS THEN RE-CONNECT,,,,THAT WILL DO IT
